In an effort to raise some funds for going back to uni, I've decided to try to sell some of my work. It's an odd feeling - I've never attempted to sell any pieces done purely for my own enjoyment; previously I've sold comissioned work, but that feels different. Somehow, knowing from the start that it is meant for someone else makes it easier. Selling something conjured spontaneously, unbidden, is more personal - it is therefore harder to part with, but also more meaningful when someone else appreciates it enough to pay for it. However, how do I put a price on that?

Lacking direction in my life, I am trying to decide what to do. I will probably go back into full time education, but cannot decide what to do - get a postgrad, or do something different? Everything seems intermittant, piecemeal, disjointed - like a magnetised compass, spinning wildly, unable to settle on a single direction, I turn from one thing to another. How is it some people just know where they belong, what they should do? I have never found such certainty, and wonder if I ever will.

Plucked up the courage to submit some of my attempts at so-called poetry, of sorts. Much more anxious as to how it will be received than I have ever been about my sketches. Fear of "exposure", I suppose. Ah well, it's done now. The window is open, now I wonder if the breeze will be cold or warm?
